  If your Zoeller Water Pump isn't starting or running, several factors could be at play. First, check the wiring against the motor's wiring diagram. A blown fuse or open circuit breaker can also prevent operation, so replace the fuse or close the breaker. Inspect for loose or broken wiring and tighten connections or replace faulty wiring. A stone or foreign object lodged in the impeller could be the culprit; disassemble the pump to remove any obstructions. In cases of a motor shorting out, replacement is necessary. Lastly, if the thermal overload has opened the circuit, allow the unit to cool before restarting, after identifying the cause of the overload.

  If your Zoeller Water Pump isn't delivering water or developing pressure, start by ensuring the pump casing is filled with priming water. Check for any leaks in the suction line and repair or replace as needed. Make sure the discharge line is open, allowing priming air to escape. Also, verify the suction line (or valve) is open. A leaking foot valve should be replaced, and a clogged suction screen needs cleaning or replacement.

Lastly, a clogged foot valve or strainer can restrict flow; unclog it to restore proper suction.

If the suction lift is too high or long, move the pump closer to the water source. Repair or replace any holes or air leaks in the suction line, using pipe tape and sealing compound. Ensure the foot valve is appropriately sized to match the piping, or install one size larger. The foot valve or suction line should be submerged deeper in the water. Check the motor wiring against the wiring diagram. Replace a leaking casing gasket. Finally, ensure both suction and discharge line valves are open.
