Browsing the Internet
Your phone has two options for Internet access. Use Browser or Google
Chrome to view web pages and search for information.
Using Google Chrome
Chrome on your Z777 can sync bookmarks, browsing history, and opened
tabs from your Google account.
1. From the home screen, tap .
2. Read the terms of service and tap Accept and Continue.
3. You can choose to sign in to Chrome to sync it with your open tabs,
bookmarks, and your computer. If you choose No thanks, you can sign in
later via the Settings menu.
4. To enter a URL, tap the web address bar, enter an address, and tap Go.
5. Scroll to navigate and tap links to open them. Use a pinching gesture
to zoom out. Spread your ngers apart to zoom in. Tap to access
additional settings.
6. To open a new browser tab, tap > New tab.
Syncing Chrome
From the home screen, tap
> > Settings > SIGN IN TO CHROME >
Sign in.
Using the browser
From the home screen, tap
>
. The last web page you were viewing
will be displayed. If you have not used Browser recently, your home page
will open.
Browser also opens when you tap a web link—for example, in an email or a
text message.
Opening a web page or searching the web
1. Open the Browser app.
2. Tap the address box at the top of the web page. If the address box isn’t
visible, scroll to the top of the web page.
3. Enter the address (URL) of a web page. Or, enter terms you want to search
for. You can also tap to search by voice.
4. Tap a URL or search suggestion, or tap Go on the keyboard to open the
web page or search results.
Tip: Tap > Stop if you want to stop opening the page.
Setting the home page
Your home page opens when you open a new browser tab, and when you
start Browser after restarting your phone.
1. Open the page you want to set as your home page.
2. Tap > Settings > General > Set homepage.
3. Tap Current page or one of the following options.
• Blank page: Open browser tab without opening a web page by default.
This can make new Browser tabs open more quickly.
• Default page: Set the factory default URL as the homepage.
• Most visited sites: Every new browser tab displays a list of your frequently
visited sites for you to choose from.
