Thepowerandinternalcablescheckincludesthefollowing:
lCheckwhethertheconnectionofpowerandgroundingcablesareappropriate.Also
checkpowerpolarities.
lCheckwhethertheplug-inunitsareinsertedinproperly.
lCheckwhetherjumpersofeachcardareconnectedproperly.
lCheckwhetherthecablesareconnectedproperly.
lCheckwhetherthebootversionofeachcardiscorrect.
OtherChecks
Otherchecksincludethefollowing:
lEquipmentlabelsmustbecorrect,complete,andclear.
lThequantityofplug-inunitsiscorrect.
lAllpowerswitchesaresettoOFF.
lFusesmeetthespecications.
lEquipmentaregroundedproperlyandthegroundingresistancemeettechnical
specications.
lMakesurethatthereisnoshortcircuit.
6.2.2Power-ONProcess
Power-ONprocessincludestheinitialpower-ONprocessanddailypower-ONprocess.
InitialPower-ONProcess
Theinitialpower-ONprocessisasfollows:
1.EnsurethatalltheswitchesareOFF .
2.Useamultimetertomeasureresistanceofthebusbartoconrmwhetherany
short-circuitexistsbetweenthepowersupply(-48V)andtheground(GND,GNDP ,
-48VGND).MakesurethatGND,GNDP ,and-48VGNDareconnected.
3.Incaseofzeroload,checktheexternalpowerinputendofthecabinetwiththe
multimeter.Measurethevoltageoftheprimarypowersupply.Conrmthatitiswithin
thepermittedvoltagerange.
4.TurnONtheexternalpower.TurnOFFthepowerimmediatelyincaseofanytrouble.
PowerONthedeviceagainaftereliminatingthetrouble.
5.TurnONthepowerdistributor.TurnOFFthepowerimmediatelyincaseofanytrouble.
PowerONthedeviceagainaftereliminatingthetrouble.
6.Pluginallthecards.
7.TurnONthepower.TurnOFFthepowerimmediatelyincaseofanytrouble.Power
ONthedeviceagainaftereliminatingthetrouble.
