ZESRisbasedonEAPS(RFC3619)andimprovedonit.ZESRchecksiftheringisproper
andensuresthatthereisonlyonelogicallinkbetweenanytwonodes,whicheffectively
preventsthebroadcaststormcausedbydataloop.Whenthereisafaultonlinkordevice
ofEthernetring,logicroutewillbeswitchedquicklytoensuretheservicerecoversoon.
