2.2CommandModes
Tofacilitatethecongurationandmanagementoftheswitch,thecommandsofthisseries
switchesareallocatedtodifferentmodesaccordingtothefunctionsandauthorities.A
commandcanbeexecutedonlyinthespeciedmode.
Thecommandmodesinclude:
UserMode
WhenyoulogintotheswitchthroughtheHyperT erminal,TelneorSSHt,youcanenterthe
usermodeafterenteringtheloginusernameandpassword.Thepromptcharacterinthe
usermodeisthehostnamefollowedby“>”asshownbelow:

Thedefaulthostnameiszte.Theusercanmodifythehostnamebyusingthecommand
hostname<name>(thenamelengthcannotexceed200characters).
Intheusermode,youcanusethecommandexittoexittheswitchcongurationoruse
thecommandshowtoviewthesystemcongurationandoperationinformation.
