  If the charger power on indicator is not lit, check all power supply connections. Specifically, ensure the AC power cord is properly connected to the wall outlet and that the power cord is securely connected to the charger. If the power supply is still not functioning, switch to an alternate power source. Also, ensure the cradle is correctly seated in the multi-base; if not, remove and reseat it.

Why won't my 3M Power Supply battery go into charge mode?

  There are several reasons why your 3M Power Supply battery might not go into charge mode. It could be that the battery is already fully charged, in which case no action is needed. Alternatively, the battery might not be seated properly in the cradle; try removing and reseating it. Dirty battery or charger contacts can also prevent charging, so clean and dry the electrical contacts. If the battery is defective or has been exposed to water beyond acceptable limits, replace the battery and remove it from further service. The charger itself could also be defective, requiring a replacement. Finally, if the battery is too hot or too cold, allow it to return to room temperature.

  If your 3M Power Supply battery becomes hot during charging (over 113°F, 45°C), it may be defective. Remove the battery from the charger immediately and replace it. Remove the defective battery from further service.
