RCA Pre-Amp Outputs—Using External Ampliers
The pre-amp outputs, which are variable according to the main zone volume control, are used to connect external
amplication. The addition of external ampliers allows you to supplement or replace internal amplication. This set of
connections includes subwoofer outputs.
With MRX 740, external amplication is necessary to add additional back and height eects channels.
With MRX 540, external amplication is necessary to add back and height eects channels.
Balanced XLR Pre-Amp Outputs (AVM Only) —Using External Ampliers
Balanced XLR connection oers the highest analog transmission quality, particularly over long cable lengths because
it rejects noise and hum pickup. These outputs are provided using the conventional pin-2 positive conguration.
With the AVM models, the RCA and XLR outputs have identical signals at the same time (XLR connections are suitable
for longer cables).
