RLM 01 Redundancy Link Module for PROFIBUS DP. The
RLM 01 connects a non redundant PROFIBUS slave to
the line redundant PROFIBUS.

voltages between 0V and +5V. RS485 is more noise
resistant than RS232C, handles data transmission over

Segment A Segment is a section of a PROFIBUS DP fieldbus that
is terminated in its characteristic impedance. Segments
can be linked by Repeaters to form a longer PROFIBUS
DP fieldbus. Each Segment can include up to 32
devices.
