Description
ESD (electrostatic discharge) is the transfer of an electrostatic
charge from one body to another with a different potential as a
result of direct contact or through an induced electric field. When
working with parts or their containers, ungrounded persons may
accumulate high electrostatic charges. The discharge may
destroy sensitive electronic circuits.

Use electrostatic wristbands
Wristbands should be checked
frequently to make sure they are
undamaged and function properly.
Use antistatic floor mats.
The mat must be grounded with a
current limiting resistor.
Use scattering table mats
loads.
The mat should enable controlled
discharge of electrostatic charges and
be grounded.
