It may be convenient to control the input on mentioned component from, for
example, an LHMI function key or similar during commissioning to quickly and
easily enter IED test mode.
10.8.3 How to change binary input/output signals using forcing

Once the IED is in IED test mode, the LHMI/PCM600 menus can be used to
control input/output signals freely.
10.8.3.1 Forcing by using LHMI

Editing a signal value directly

• Edit the input/output value directly to select the desired logical level, by doing
following:
1. Select the value line of the desired signal, see figure
21.
2. Press the Enter key to edit the value.

3. Use the up/down arrows on the LHMI to change the signal value or the
appropriate menu in PCM600.
The status of the signal changes automatically to Forced (i.e. there is no
need to set the status to Forced manually).
