7 Stopping the engine
Water-cooled turbocharger variant
u Post-lubricate as long as the rotor is turning.
u Observe the oil pressure while performing post-lubrication: 0.5 <p
oil
≤1.0.
u Switch off post-lubrication as soon as the rotor is stationary or after no more than two
minutes.
Deviating procedures must be coordinated with ABB Turbocharging.
CAUTION
Water cooling after stopping the engine
If the heat in the turbocharger is not dissipated after the engine stops, dam-
age may result.
u Allow the water cooling of the turbocharger to continue operating for 15
to 20 minutes after stopping the engine.
