Wireless Security Measures
The wireless signals are secured through device system design that includes the
following:
▪ The charger encrypts its wireless communicaon with the programming device using▪
a key that is unique to that link.
▪ Only one paent controller or clinician programmer may communicate with the
▪
charger at a me.
▪ Standard Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) pairing methods ensure valid and legimate▪
pairing among devices.
▪
Proprietary authencaon for the paent controller or clinician programmer
▪
applicaons in addion to the pairing procedure specied in Bluetooth LE protocol,
which includes an element of proximity.
▪ A proprietary algorithm that detects and prevents an unauthorized applicaon from▪
communicang with the charger.
▪ Whitelisng methods that prevent unauthorized devices from using Bluetooth LE▪
scanning to interfere with communicaon from the charger to a legimate paent
controller or clinician programmer.
Troubleshoong for Wireless, Coexistence, or Interference
Issues
If you experience issues with interacons within the neurosmulaon system, try the
following:
▪
Decrease the distance between the devices.
▪
▪
Move the devices so they share line of sight.
▪
▪
Move the devices away from other devices that may be causing interference.
▪
▪
Close the paent controller app; then turn the paent controller o and on.
▪
▪
Wait a few minutes and try connecng again.
▪
▪
Avoid operang other consumer electronic devices, such as a laptop, tablet, mobile
▪
phone, or cordless phone at the same me.
NOTE: Equipment such as the following can interfere with the neurosmulaon
system: wireless home network devices, mobile and cordless telephones, and
consumer electronic devices.
