Caring for Your Finger Pricker
DO
• Wipe off any blood immediately.
• Clean the finger pricker and cap regularly.
• At least once a week, clean the finger pricker and the inside
of the cap with a cloth or cotton bud moistened with:
• 70 % ethanol or 70 % isopropanol (available in pharmacies)
•
Air dry thoroughly.
DO NOT
• Dip the cap in water or cleaning fluids. This can damage the cap.
• Use any cleaning products other than 70 % ethanol or 70 % isopropanol.
