Taking an Alternative Site Blood Sample
1. Place your thumb to the
side of the notch and
remove the cap by pulling
it straight off. It is not a
twist cap.
2. Align the notch on the
converter cap with the
notch on the finger
pricker and slide the cap
on until it stops.
3. Dial the depth setting to
5 ½ for forearm, upper
arm, thigh or calf testing.
Dial the depth setting to
3 for palm testing.
