3 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
3.1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The AMC-200 series sensor/transmitter unit is designed to provide continuous, reliable
surveillance of surrounding air for traces of a specific hazardous gas (listed in section 2.2,
Factory Settings). This unit provides a 4 to 20 mA, variable current signal which is proportional
to the gas concentration detected. Each sensor/transmitter unit is factory calibrated and is
ready for field installation and operation.
3.1.1 SENSOR SPECIFICATIONS
SENSOR TYPE: Electrochemical cell
RESPONSE TIME: Better than 90% step change in 60 seconds
DRIFT: Less than 2% of full scale per month
SIGNAL OUTPUT: Linear to the concentration of gas
OPERATING TEMPERATURE: 0°C to 40°C
HUMIDITY: 0 to 99% RH, non-condensing.
EXPECTED SENSOR LIFE: Greater than 2 years
STORAGE LIFE: 6 months at 20°C
NOTE
Turn off power supply before removing or replacing the transmitter or sensor.
