If equipped with ow sensor capability, a clamp-on ow
meter is installed on the outlet of your mixing station, as
shown. The data from this ow meter is used to calculate
and display mixing station HW energy and ow, in lieu of
calculated ow using pressure sensors, as described earlier.
FLOW SENSOR
• Prior to starting up system make sure to ush pipes of debris.
• Open the isolation ball valves at the hot & cold inlets, the outlet and the return.
• Look at T/P gauges to make sure pressure is available at each.
Plug the Acorn BASyC™ unit
into a standard 120vac GFCI
protected outlet. Each BASyC™
unit is provided with a 6 ft.
electrical plug/wire to aid in
start-up. Care must be taken
so that the plug doesn’t get
pulled out during operation. It
is assumed and recommended
that after the unit is in
operation, a qualied electrician
will hardwire the unit per our
wiring diagram as shown here
and in accordance with any and
all local codes and standards.
