If equipped with ow sensor capability, a clamp-on ow
meter is installed on the outlet of your mixing station, as
shown. The data from this ow meter is used to calculate
and display mixing station HW energy and ow, in lieu of
calculated ow using pressure sensors, as described earlier.
FLOW SENSOR
• Prior to starting up system make sure to ush pipes of debris.
• Open the isolation ball valves at the hot & cold inlets, the outlet and the return.
• Look at T/P gauges to make sure pressure is available at each.
Plug the Acorn BASyC™ unit
into a standard 120vac GFCI
protected outlet. Each BASyC™
unit is provided with a 6 ft.
electrical plug/wire to aid in
start-up. Care must be taken
so that the plug doesn’t get
pulled out during operation. It
is assumed and recommended
that after the unit is in
operation, a qualied electrician
will hardwire the unit per our
wiring diagram as shown here
and in accordance with any and
all local codes and standards.
