In order to utilize the email alarms & alerts, the BASyC unit must be connected to an active LAN. Generally,
you will need to work with the local IT staff to determine what the appropriate IP, subnet mask and default
gateway addresses are.
The easiest/most straightforward way to make these network settings is to use the optional handheld LCD
display/controller. All units ship from the factory preset with a 4 digit LCD passcode of ‘0101’ to access the
system. If your system is precongured, please refer to your documentation or contact your local administer
to obtain the appropriate passcode to access BASyC™ via the LCD interface.
Using LCD display/controller
Using the wire provided, plug the RJ11 jacks into the back of the LCD display and into the control module as
shown below.
After plugging the LCD unit it should beep and start-up at the passcode screen as shown below.
