All values on this page apply to operating temperatures. Ascenders
and especially batteries should be stored between 5°C (1°F) and
25°C (77°F) for optimal performance and service life. For more

ActSafe Portable Power Supply
The ActSafe Portable Power Supply
is a good alternative to batteries,
especially for Ascender operations
with a lot of lifting and lower distance
or in extreme temperatures. The
following lifting distances can be
achieved at 20°C (68°F):
100 kg (220 lb) 500 m (1640 ft)
200 kg (440 lb) 150 m (492 ft)
The limiting factor is the Ascender
temperature. The Ascender motor
runs hot when lifting heavy loads
over longer distances, especially
in hot environments where the heat
can not be dissipated easily. In case
of overheating the Ascender may
be shut off temporarily to protect
the motor from any damage.
