If your ACU-RITE Weather Station shows no bars for the outdoor sensor, try these steps: * Relocate the display unit and/or the outdoor sensor, ensuring they are within 330 ft (100 m) of each other. * Keep both units at least 3 feet (.9m) away from electronics that may cause interference (TVs, microwaves, computers, etc.). * Use standard alkaline batteries (or lithium batteries in the sensor when the temperature is below -4ºF/-20ºC). Avoid heavy-duty or rechargeable batteries. * Allow up to 20 minutes for the display unit and sensor to synchronize after replacing the batteries.

      meganjohnsonAug 16, 2025
To resolve bad wireless sensor reception on your ACU-RITE Weather Station, relocate the main unit and/or the wireless sensor, ensuring they are within 330 feet (100m) of each other. Keep both units at least 3 feet (.91 m) away from electronic appliances that may cause interference, such as TVs, microwaves, and computers. Note that it may take up to 20 minutes for the main unit to re-synchronize with the sensor after replacing batteries. For temperatures below -4ºF (-20ºC), use lithium batteries in the sensor.

What to do if my ACU-RITE 13230 outdoor temperature is flashing or showing dashes?
    • M
      Mary SchwartzAug 20, 2025
If the outdoor temperature on your ACU-RITE Weather Station is flashing or showing dashes, it generally indicates wireless interference. Here's what you can do: 1. Bring both the sensor and display unit indoors and remove at least one battery from each. 2. Ensure the A-B-C switch on both units match. 3. Reinstall the battery in the outdoor sensor. 4. Reinstall the battery in the display unit. 5. Let the units sit within a couple of feet of each other for about 20 minutes to establish a strong connection. 6. Try changing to a different channel.

Why is my ACU-RITE Weather Station forecast inaccurate?
    • F
      fosterericAug 26, 2025
An inaccurate forecast on your ACU-RITE Weather Station can be due to a few reasons: * The Weather Forecast icon predicts conditions for the next 12 to 24 hours, not current conditions. * Check if the Learning Mode icon has disappeared from the display unit. The Learning Mode must complete before the forecast and pressure will be accurate. * Allow the unit to run continuously for 33 days. Removing the battery or resetting the display unit will restart Learning Mode. The forecast should be fairly accurate after 14 days, but Learning Mode calibrates for a total of 33 days.
