A full overview of the installed overcurrent protecƟon devices
and other opƟonal features per Trip Unit version is indicated in
table 2.2.
This user manual describes the installaƟon, connecƟon,
maintenance and use of the Mpro Electronic Trip Units type S
and N.
The breaker reset mode can be chosen by a selector switch on
the Trip Unit front as indicated in Įgure 2.3. There are 2
possible posiƟons or conĮguraƟons .
1) manual
In this conĮguraƟon the assembly in the trip unit interlocks
with a mechanical lockout funcƟonality of the circuit breaker.
When the circuit breaker trips a mechanical interlock changes
state.
This Interlock drives a assembly in the trip unit forward so that
the depicted buƩon “pops” out from the front of the trip unit.
This device also operates an opƟonal Bell Alarm contact
mounted in the circuit breaker.
In order to re-close the breaker; the mechanical interlock must
be reset by depressing the buƩon on the front of the trip unit .
This also resets the Bell Alarm contact in the circuit breaker, if
present.
2) auto
In this conĮguraƟon the assembly in the trip unit is
mechanically restrained so that the depicted buƩon does not
“pop out” from the front of the trip unit. The opƟonal Bell
Alarm contact in the circuit breaker does not change state.
The breaker can be re-closed (Either manually or
using a closing coil) without reseƫng the buƩon
since it is held in the reset posiƟon.
