4.1 UNPACKING AND OPERATION
The device has been fully tested and inspected. Although the device has
been packaged and shipped with our usual standards of care, we cannot
rule out the possibility of transportation damage altogether.
Claims based on transportation damage must be asserted against the
transportation company.
You must therefore check the shipping container for damage upon re-
ceipt. If necessary, ask the transportation company to check the prod-
ucts and record the damage with the employee of the transportation
company present so that you can inform the company of the damage
within eight days of delivery via the AEG representative or dealer.
Check that the content of the delivery is complete:
• Protect B with 500, 750, 1000, or 1500 VA
• Mains connection cable with safety plug
• Device connection cable
• UPS communication cable
• "CompuWatch" management software on CD
• Operating instructions
Please contact our hotline if the contents differ from this (see page 52).
The original cardboard packaging offers effective protection against
impact and should be kept for safe transportation at a later date.
To prevent the risk of suffocation, please keep plastic packaging bags
out of reach of babies and children.
Handle the components with care. In particular, it is important to take
their weight into consideration. If necessary, seek assistance from
a second person.
