      If your AKG Microphone produces no sound, ensure the mixer and/or amplifier are powered on. Also, check that the channel or master fader on the mixer, or the volume control on the amplifier, is not set to zero; adjust to the desired level. Verify the microphone is properly connected to the mixer or amplifier and that all cable connectors are securely seated. Inspect the cable for any damage and replace it if necessary. Finally, ensure phantom power is switched on and the power supply is properly connected or the batteries are correctly inserted. Replace the cable if needed.

      If you're experiencing distortion with your AKG Microphone, try turning the gain control down (CCW) on the mixer. If the microphone is too close to the sound source, move it further away. You can also switch the preattenuation pad in.
