This chainsaw comes fully assembled in the box and does not require any
pre-assembly.
Replacing/re-installing the guide bar &
chain
WARNING: The chain has sharp edges. Use
work gloves for safety.
WARNING: Ensure the tool is switched o
when making any adjustments to the chain
and bar.
IMPORTANT: Remove the plug from the mains
power outlet socket when replacing / reinstalling
the guide bar and/or chain.
1. Place the chainsaw on a at and secure surface.
2. Remove the chain drive side cover (9) by turning
the chain tensioning knob (8) in an anti-clockwise
direction to loosen the chain drive side cover (9)
(Fig A1), and then remove the chain drive side
cover (9) (Fig A2).
3. Push the guide bar (7) and the chain (6) towards
the drive sprocket (28), which will result in the
guide bar (7) and the chain (6) loosening around
the drive sprocket (28).
4. Remove the guide bar (7) and the chain (6) from
the drive sprocket (28). When the guide bar
(7) is removed from the chainsaw it should be
thoroughly cleaned of sawdust and oil prior to
reassembly (Fig A3).
5. Slide the new chain in the slot around the guide
bar. Once the chain is in position around the nose
of the guide bar, ensure that the chain links are
located within the bar guide channel (Fig A4).
