4. The chain will stretch from use and lose proper tension. To retension the
chain, turn knob anti-clockwise (3x), secure the chain drive side cover (9),
and repeat steps 1 – 3 listed on the previous page.
Lubrication
Important: The chainsaw is not supplied lled with oil*. It is essential
to ll with oil before use. Never operate the chainsaw without chain
oil or at an empty oil tank level as this will result in extensive damage
to the product. Chain life and cutting capacity depend on optimum
lubrication. Therefore, the chain is automatically oiled during
operation via oil outlet.
WARNING: Unplug chainsaw from the mains power outlet
socket before undertaking this task.
WARNING: Never start work unless the chain (6) and guide bar (7)
are lubricated.
Filling oil tank
1. Rest the chainsaw on its side so the oil tank is facing up, on the ground or a
secure surface and wipe any debris from around the oil tank.
2. Remove the oil ller cap (3) by rotating in an anti-
clockwise direction (Fig B1). Wipe the underside
of the oil ller cap (3) to ensure it is clean and dry.
3. Using a funnel, ll the oil tank with 120ml of good
quality chain and bar oil (not supplied). Or to just
under the lip of the oil tank opening.
4. Fasten the oil ller cap (3) and tighten, and if there
is any spillages, ensure you clean with a clean rag.
WARNING: Only use oil that is mentioned in the manual. We
recommend good quality chain and bar oil (not supplied). Poor
quality oil will damage the tool.
WARNING: Before storing the chainsaw for an extended period,
empty the oil tank.
