WARNING: To allow venting of the oil
reservoir, small breather channels are
provided between the oil ller cap and the
strainer. To prevent leakage, ensure the
chainsaw is left in a horizontal position (oil
ller cap uppermost) when not in use. It is
important to use only the recommended
chain oil to avoid damage to the chainsaw.
Never use recycled/old oil. Use of non-approved oil will void the
warranty (Fig B2).
Checking the automatic oiler
Proper functioning of the automatic oiler can be
checked by running the chainsaw and pointing the tip
of the guide bar (7) towards a piece of cardboard or
paper on the ground. If an increasing oil pattern
develops on the cardboard, the automatic oiler is
operating ne. If there is no oil pattern, despite a full
oil reservoir, contact customer service agent or
approved service agent (Fig C).
WARNING: Do not touch the ground with the chain. Ensure safety
clearance of 12” (30 cm).
Assembling the telescopic pole
1. Align the upper telescopic pole (19) with lower telescopic pole (22).
2. Move the locking collar (21) backwards to show the lower telescopic
pole shaft (a), then insert the lower telescopic pole shaft (a) into the upper
telescopic pole hole (b) until it locks in place (Fig D1, D2).
3. Move the locking collar (21) forward to cover the upper telescopic pole
thread (20) and then rotate the locking collar (21) clockwise to lock (Fig D3).
