RREVERSE:selectsR(Reverse)gear.BumpingthelevertowardR
willselectthealternatereversegearrangeinselect4700/4800model
calibrations.
NNEUTRAL:mustbeselectedpriortostartingtheengine.
DDRIVE:selectsthehighestavailableforwardrange.Transmission
shiftstostartinggearandwillautomaticallyupshiftthroughthegears,as
operatingconditionspermit,untilthehighestavailablegearisattained.
DDRIVE(Primary(ROAD)ModeOFSModel):selectsthehighest
availableforwardrange.Transmissionshiftstostartinggearandwill
automaticallyupshiftthroughthegears,asoperatingconditionspermit,
untilthehighestavailablegearisattained.
DDRIVE(Secondary(RIG)ModeOFSModel):goestotherange
setinthecalibrationsetforstationarymode.
LLOWRANGE:selectsthelowestavailableforwardrange.The
transmissionwillautomaticallydownshifttothelowestrangeusingthe
preselectdownshiftschedule.Onceattained,thetransmissionwillhold
thelowrangeuntilanotherrangeisselected.
MMANUALSELECT:movingtheleverfromtheDrivepositioninto
theManualSelectpositionallowstheoperatortoselectaloweror
higherforwardgearrange.
InitiallymovingthelevertoMsetstheRangeSelectedtothesame
forwardrangeasthecurrentRangeAttained,shownintheMONITOR
positiononthedisplay,alsoreferredtoasanExpressPreselect.
EachDOWNSHIFT(-)bumpdecreasestheRangeSelectedbyone
forwardrange.
EachUPSHIFT(+)bumpincreasestheRangeSelectedbyoneforward
gearrange.
Thesearemomentarybumppositionswhentheoperatorreleasesthe
lever,theleverreturnstotheDriveposition.
TheManualSelectpositionisaccessibleonlyfromtheDriveposition
andaffectsonlyforwardgearranges.
Detent:Theleverselectorfeaturesadetenttopreventinadvertentshifting
betweenR(Reverse),N(Neutral),D(Drive),andL(Low).T oreleasethelever
fromanyofthesepositions,thedetentmustrstbeunlockedbydepressing
thengerreleasebuttonontheshifterhandle.
