$Q – SET FUNC COMMAND STRING
Syntax: $Q(S)
Sets the FCS string. The FCS string determines what Device (channel) values
are sent out the control port when the FUNC key is pressed. The string can be
any combination of the following numbers:

Where:
(S) is the command string
Response: No response when a string parameter is sent. A $Q with no string
parameter requests the current $Q string.

$R - READ ANALOG CHANNEL
Syntax: $R(D)(D)…(D)
Returns the Current Value (CV) for the specified Device(s) (channel(s)) out the
CONTROL port. If multiple Devices are specified, multiple CVs are returned with
a <CR> (ASCII 13) after each CV.
Where:
(D) is the device (channel).
