Sending Text to a Computer
When you attach your AlphaSmart 3000 to a PC or Macintosh, the
AlphaSmart 3000 automatically changes modes to prepare to transfer data
and the screen displays one of the following messages:
For Macs:
Attached to Mac, emulating keyboard. Press send key to transfer file x. Press
x-option-file key to switch to a different file.
For PCs:
Attached to PC, emulating keyboard. Press send key to transfer file x. Press
x-file key to switch to a different file.
If you do not see the appropriate message, check your cable and make sure it
is attached properly to the computer. To transfer text to a computer:
1. Press the send key (at the extreme upper right of the AlphaSmart 3000
keyboard) to initiate the transfer of the current file from the AlphaSmart
3000 to the computer. If you want to abort a file transfer, press the esc
