Limited Warranty Information
Thank you for choosing an Alpine product! We aim to please with our wide range of products including
Fountains, Birdbaths, Statuary, Pond Supplies & More. All of our products are constructed from the
highest quality materials. In the event that we have not achieved our usual standard of excellence, we
will repair or replace, at our discretion, within the warranty period. A valid proof of purchase, with the
purchase date clearly indicated, must be provided. Photos of defective merchandise will also be
required to help distinguish the actual cause of the defect. Please read below for a detailed
description of warranty coverage.
Water Damage
Alpine products are not manufactured to withstand extreme temperatures. Improper storage
that allows water to freeze within a product may cause damage and is considered
negligence and will, therefore not be covered under this warranty. The use of “hard water”
and/or caustic cleaners can affect the paint or other finishes. Failure to keep the unit clean,
and use of such additives/cleaners, will also void the warranty. Please note: for fountains, it
is normal for some splashing to occur and protecting the immediate surfaces is not the
responsibility of Alpine Corporation
Paint & Color (Retention and/or Loss)
The use of water will cause natural erosion to the color. This area can be touched up
using standard paint. The paint is designed to protect the entire finish against breakdown
of color. As with any product, all finishes with time will gradually fade and discolor. The
warranty will only cover against severe or complete fading within the first year from date of
purchase with the above exclusion.
Procedure/Service
Should a warranty/claim be needed, you should contact the retailer from whom you
purchased the product. If that is not an option, you can contact Alpine Corporation at
www.alpine4u.com. When contacting Alpine Corporation, you must be prepared to show
proof of purchase, provide photographs and any other information needed to validate your
claim. This may be necessary to distinguish between a partial or complete replacement of a
defective product. The warranty does not cover any items with multiple parts; the warranty
will ONLY cover the individual component of the unit/item that may be defective.
Replacement parts can be made available to a consumer through the original selling party,
or an approved parts retailer. If this is not an option, contact our customer service
department. Item is covered under one year limited warranty from the date of purchase.
When requesting replacement parts due to a warranty claim after 30 days of purchase,
credit card information will be requested for shipping charges.
Not Covered Under Warranty
The limited warranty will NOT cover cases of damages due to
1. Damages caused in Transit
2. Inadequate care and/or neglect

freezing water damage, hard water damage, failure to keep the unit clean and free of harmful additives
such as bleach, chlorine, etc…. which affects the paint and/or parts. This warranty also does not cover
any additional charges or installation, removal, disposal and/or shipping costs or consequential

Overview

The device is an outdoor vintage sink metal fountain and stand, designed to enhance outdoor spaces with its aesthetic appeal and the soothing sound of flowing water. It is intended for decorative use in gardens, patios, or other outdoor settings.

Function Description

The primary function of this device is to circulate water, creating a continuous flow that mimics a traditional sink faucet. Water is pumped from a basin, flows through a faucet, and then returns to the basin, creating a gentle cascade. This process not only adds visual interest but also produces a calming auditory experience. The fountain operates using a submersible pump that draws water from the fountain sink bowl and pushes it through the faucet. The design incorporates a stand to elevate the sink and faucet, making it a prominent feature in any outdoor environment.

Usage Features

Assembly: The fountain requires assembly before use. Key components include a submersible pump, nuts, a fountain sink faucet, a fountain sink bowl, a fountain stand, and a bottom plate.

  1. Faucet and Bowl Assembly: The fountain sink faucet is placed over the fountain sink bowl, aligning the holes on the faucet with screws on the bowl. These are then secured with two nuts, tightened clockwise.
  2. Stand and Bottom Plate Assembly: The fountain stand is placed on a level surface. The bottom plate is positioned between the stand's legs, aligning its screws with holes on the stand. Four nuts are used to secure these components, tightened clockwise.
  3. Faucet/Bowl and Stand Assembly: The assembled fountain sink faucet and bowl unit is then placed onto the assembled stand.
  4. Pump Installation: The submersible pump is removed from its packaging, and its flow control is adjusted to the lowest setting to prevent excessive splashing during initial operation. The pump is placed inside the fountain sink bowl in an open middle area. The pump cord is fed through the back of the fountain sink bowl, and the vinyl tubing from the fountain sink faucet is connected to the pump.
  5. Water Filling: Water is gently poured into the fountain, ensuring it completely submerges the pump without overflowing or causing splashing. Distilled water is recommended to prevent scale build-up.
  6. Power Connection: The pump cord is plugged into a local power supply. It is crucial to ensure no water is around the transformer and that the power source remains in a dry place. The water should run clear during operation. During the first operation, it may take up to 5 minutes for air to be expelled and water to flow properly.

Operation: The fountain is designed for continuous operation once assembled and filled with water. The submersible pump ensures a steady flow. It is important to maintain adequate water levels to prevent the pump from running dry, which can cause damage.

Troubleshooting:

  • Pump Failure: If the pump fails to run, check the circuit breaker or try a different outlet to ensure electrical power. Inspect the pump discharge and tubing for kinks or obstructions. The rotor should be checked by removing the front cover and plate to access the impeller area, ensuring it is not jammed or broken.
  • Pump Spewing: If the pump is spewing water, check the water level to ensure the pump is fully submerged. Insufficient water can cause the pump to spew.
  • Abnormal Loud Noises: If the pump makes abnormal loud noises, disconnect it from the power supply. Remove the front cover and plate, gently pull out the impeller/rotor assembly, and rinse it with clean water. Clean the cavity as well. If breakage or damage is found, contact the retailer for parts.

Cautions:

  • Always unplug the pump from the electrical outlet before cleaning or handling.
  • Use only clean water; do not place the fountain or its parts in any other liquid.
  • Do not operate the fountain with water above 90°F (32°C) or below 30°F (-1°C).
  • Do not lift, carry, or pull the pump by its power cord.
  • Do not exceed the maximum voltage and wattage on the transformer.
  • NEVER let the pump run dry.

Maintenance Features

General Maintenance:

  • Water Quality: Periodically change the water in the fountain and clean the pump to prevent the growth of micro-organisms. Using distilled water is recommended to prevent scale build-up.
  • Cleaning: The manufacturer recommends using Alpine's all-natural cleansing formula to eliminate foam, lime scale, calcium buildup, fight mineral deposits, keep water crystal clear, prevent staining, remove organic contaminants, and treat discolored water. This formula also helps prevent pump damage due to hard water.
    • For small fountains holding up to 7 liters of water, Alpine Item # PPL100 is recommended.
    • For larger fountains holding over 7 liters of water, Alpine Item # PPL102 is recommended.
  • Storage: Disconnect and store the unit in a dry place when not in use for an extended period, especially during extreme weather conditions (e.g., freezing temperatures).

Warranty Information: The product comes with a limited warranty.

  • Coverage: The warranty covers repair or replacement, at the manufacturer's discretion, within the warranty period, provided there is a valid proof of purchase with the date clearly indicated. Photos of defective merchandise are required to help distinguish the cause of the defect. The warranty covers severe or complete fading of paint within the first year from the date of purchase, excluding natural erosion from water. The warranty ONLY covers the individual component of the unit/item that may be defective, not multiple parts. Replacement parts can be obtained through the original selling party or approved parts retailer. If not, contact customer service. Item is covered under a one-year limited warranty from the date of purchase.

    • Transit.
