3 - INSTALLATION
3.4 - Capsule Placement
To install the Capsule:
1. Read all of the safety instructions in “Safety” on
page 11, as well as all of the instructions for the
other installation components and tools.
2. Prepare the site and bore/prepare the installation
hole as described in “Site Preparation” on page 18.

3. Hoist the Capsule into the hole. If needed, use one
or more tagline(s) and/or manipulator(s) to align
and center the Capsule inside the hole.
4. Backfill the gap between the Capsule and sides of
the hole, being sure to compact the soil as much as
possible (see Figure 5). During backfilling:
- Keep the floor level, with a grade of 1% or less.
- Leave room to allow electrical conduit
installation.
- Be careful to avoid spilling dirt or debris into the
Capsule. If dirt or debris does fall into the
Capsule, then clean out the Capsule as
thoroughly as possible.
