4.1-18 Place the jaw shaft with the two springs at-
tached. Assemble the springs on the head mounting.
4.1-13 Remove the complete airway valve unit.
4.1-15 Insert a complete new valve unit. The edge of
the valve seal should be at level with the outside of the
skull.
4.1-17 Fit the head mounting. Make sure that the jaw
is in position under the ear plugs on both sides. Tighten
the nuts using a socket wrench. Lead the nylon tie
through the hole in the valve.
4.1-14 The complete airway valve unit should only
be repaired by workshops experienced in this repair.
Normally, the entire unit is replaced.
4.1-16 Mount the cover plate.
