6.6.4 Chang ing the fuel pre-fil ter
• Shut off the en gine and open the bon net.
• Let the ma chine cool.
• Dis en gage the hose clamps (1) and pull them off.
• Pull off the fuel hoses (2).
• Re place the fil ter (3).
• Re as sem ble in the re verse se quence.
6.6.5 Chang ing the main fuel fil ter
• Shut off the en gine and open the bon net.
• Let the ma chine cool.
• Loosen the main oil fil ter (1) with an oil fil ter wrench.
• Cap ture the es cap ing fuel and dis pose of it in an en vi ron men -
tally sound man ner.
• Re place the fil ter car tridge.
• Moisten the fil ter car tridge's rub ber gas ket with fuel be fore in -
stall ing.
• In sert and hand tighten the new fuel fil ter car tridge.
