6.6.6 Ven ti lat ing the fuel sys tem
If the fuel tank has been com pletely emp tied or the fuel fil ter has
been re placed, the fuel sys tem must be ven ti lated.
• Shut off the en gine.
• Fill the fuel tank com pletely.
• Press the hand pump on the fuel fil ter (1) un til you can feel
clear re sis tance.
• Open the ven ti la tion plugs (2) on the in jec tion pump.
• Use the hand pump to keep mov ing fuel un til bub ble-free fuel
co mes out of the ven ti la tion plugs.
• Firmly tighten the ven ti la tion plugs.
• Dis pose of spilled fuel in an en vi ron men tally sound man ner.
