How to fix an unclear image on my AmScope Microscope?
    • E
      ejohnsonNov 20, 2025
To fix an unclear image on your AmScope Microscope, ensure that a standard-sized (0.17mm thickness) cover slip is correctly placed on the slide. Objectives are designed for use with a 0.17mm cover slip, so it is a requirement to use one for proper images. If you are using a correct cover slip, but the image is still unclear, replace the cover slip with the appropriate 0.17mm thickness slip. Also, if you are using the 100x objective, use standard cedarwood immersion oil for better clarity and resolution. If you are using immersion oil, ensure there are no air bubbles in the oil and that the oil hasn't accumulated on a dry objective. If oil has accumulated on the dry objective, thoroughly clean the objective lens with lens cleaner or a lint-free nonabrasive cloth. Finally, make sure that the...

Why is the field of view not bright enough on my AmScope 120 Microscope?
    • A
      Amanda HernandezAug 22, 2025
If the field of view on your AmScope Microscope isn't bright enough, adjust the iris diaphragm to allow the light to be just larger than the condenser. Also, adjust the condenser height to the top of the travel range, then adjust down to focus the image. Ensure that all lenses (condenser, objective, eyepieces, and base lens) are clean; thoroughly clean them with lens cleaner or a lint-free nonabrasive cloth.
