  If the field of view is not bright enough on your AmScope Microscope, first ensure that a light source is being used, as it is required for viewing samples (ring light, built-in illuminator, or gooseneck illuminator). Also, check for any stains, dust, or dirt on the condenser, objective, eyepieces, or base lens and thoroughly clean all lenses with lens cleaner or a lint-free nonabrasive cloth.

Remember that higher magnification requires the head to move closer, while lower magnification needs more distance between the sample and the lens.
