Why is the field of view not bright enough on my AmScope SM-6 Microscope?
    • M
      michael83Jul 30, 2025
The field of view might not be bright enough due to several reasons: * A light source might not be present; this model microscope requires a light source to view a sample. * The light source may be too dim. Try adjusting the intensity or changing the light source. * Lenses may be dirty. Clean all lenses with lens cleaner and a lint-free cloth.

How to fix an unclear image on my AmScope Microscope?
    • L
      Lauren LeeAug 5, 2025
If you're experiencing an unclear image, it could be due to a few reasons. First, the lens in the inlet of the head might be stained or dusty. Clean it with lens cleaner or a nonabrasive lint-free cloth and compressed air. Alternatively, the microscope head may not be in the correct position for focusing. Adjust the height using the focusing knob until the image appears in focus. Remember that higher magnification requires the head to be closer, while lower magnification needs more distance.

    • V
      Victoria WilliamsAug 13, 2025
Obstructions in the field of view may be caused by stains, dust, or dirt on the specimen slide. Try cleaning the slide or using a new specimen. Alternatively, the objective and eyepiece lenses may be dirty. Clean these lenses to remove any obstructions.

Why is one side of the field of view dark or the image moving while focusing on my AmScope Microscope?
    • T
      Thomas RowlandAug 22, 2025
If one side of the field of view is dark or the image moves while focusing, it may be because the specimen is not fixed. Secure the slide to the stage with clips, ensuring the sample doesn't move.
