Why is the image unclear on my AmScope M100?
    • S
      sturnerAug 7, 2025
An unclear image with your AmScope microscope can occur for several reasons. First, ensure there is a cover slip on the slide, as the objectives are designed for use with a 0.17mm cover slip. If a cover slip is already in place, check that it is the appropriate 0.17mm thickness and replace it if needed. Also, adjust the aperture to have the light just larger than the size of the condenser. Finally, stains or dust on the lens in the inlet of the head can cause issues; clean the lens with lens cleaner or a nonabrasive lint-free cloth and spray with compressed air.

How to brighten the field of view on an AmScope M100?
    • A
      Anthony MarquezAug 12, 2025
If the field of view on your AmScope microscope isn't bright enough, it could be due to the iris disc diaphragm not being open enough. Rotate the iris disc diaphragm to allow more light to pass through. Also, check for any stains, dust, or dirt on the condenser, objective, eyepieces, or base lens, and thoroughly clean all lenses with lens cleaner or a lint-free nonabrasive cloth.

What to do if one side of the field of view is dark or the image moves while focusing on my AmScope M100 Microscope?
    • S
      Stacey YoungAug 19, 2025
If one side of the field of view is dark or the image moves while focusing your AmScope microscope, it might be because the specimen slide is not fixed. Secure the slide to the stage with clips. Alternatively, the nosepiece may not be in the right position; turn the nosepiece until it clicks into place.

Why is one side of the field of view darker on my AmScope M100 Microscope?
    • R
      Robert KimAug 26, 2025
If one side of the field of view appears darker when using your AmScope microscope, the nosepiece might be misaligned; turn the nosepiece until it clicks into place. Another potential cause is the accumulation of stains or dust on the objective, eyepieces, or base lens; clean all lenses with lens cleaner or a lint-free non-abrasive cloth.

What to do if I see obstructions in the field of view of my AmScope Microscope?
    • E
      Eric SkinnerAug 31, 2025
If you observe obstructions in the field of view of your AmScope Microscope, it may be due to stains, dust, or dirt accumulated on the specimen. Clean the slide, or use a new specimen if the sample is destroyed. Alternatively, the lens may be dirty. Clean the lens.
