Why is there no hot water from my Amtrol Water Heater?
    • P
      Priscilla EvansAug 12, 2025
If your Amtrol Water Heater isn't producing hot water, here are a few things to check: * Examine the circuit breaker, boiler emergency switch, and boiler reset switch. * Purge any air from the system. Make sure the circulator is on the Boiler Supply and inspect the air vents. * Inspect the circulator and zone valve; repair or replace them if needed. * Check the boiler system, as it must be operational to generate hot water. * Verify continuity while rotating the knob to ensure the circuit opens and closes correctly.

What to do if the relief valve on my Amtrol Champion CH-41Z is dripping?
    • D
      David BrownAug 20, 2025
If the relief valve on your Amtrol Water Heater is dripping or opening, consider these solutions: * Install the correct Therm-X-Trol® or equivalent thermal expansion tank. * Make sure the precharge air pressure matches the static water pressure. * If your city pressure exceeds 80psi, install a Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV). * Find out what is causing the over temperature condition and fix it. * Replace the relief valve.
