Why is there no hot water from my Amtrol Water Heater?

  If your Amtrol Water Heater isn't producing hot water, here are a few things to check: * Examine the circuit breaker, boiler emergency switch, and boiler reset switch. * Purge any air from the system. Make sure the circulator is on the Boiler Supply and inspect the air vents. * Inspect the circulator and zone valve; repair or replace them if needed. * Check the boiler system, as it must be operational to generate hot water. * Verify continuity while rotating the knob to ensure the circuit opens and closes correctly.

  If your BoilerMate® is making noise, try these steps: * Purge the boiler loop and check the air elimination equipment. * Repair or replace the pump. * Make sure the proper Therm-X-Trol® or equivalent thermal expansion tank is installed and the air charge is adjusted correctly. * Note that a creaking or hissing sound is normal when first pressurized and should stop after pressurizing. Always check for leaks.
