Exception Codes
The comms module returns 3 exception codes if the command received is invalid and these are given in
the table below.
Exception Code
Description

Invalid start address (address greater than 57 decimal)
2
Invalid end address (no. Bytes too large, i.e. start address add number of bytes greater
that 58 decimal)
3
Stop Character missing
The 7th bit of the return start address is set to logic 1 if any exception is generated (see sample below).
