  The alarm might not sound on your Angelcare Baby Monitor for several reasons. The monitor may be detecting movement because the crib is being touched, so avoid contact with the crib when the monitor is on. Alternatively, the monitor could be picking up movement from outside the crib, such as from motorized devices or strong drafts; in this case, place the crib near a solid supporting wall. Finally, the sensitivity might be set too high, you may need to decrease the sensitivity, consult the Movement Sensitivity Adjustment section.

  If the alarm indicator light is flashing red on your Angelcare Baby Monitor, it means the monitor is barely detecting movement. This could be because the Sensor Pad is not in full contact with the crib mattress, or the crib mattress isn't resting on a flat, rigid surface. Ensure there is no bedding between the mattress and the Sensor Pad, and that the Sensor Pad rests on a completely flat and rigid surface; consider placing a 6 mm (1/4”) plywood piece under the mattress. Another reason could be that the baby is in a very deep sleep or has moved away from the Sensor Pad to the edge of the crib. Make sure the Sensor Pad is positioned as described in the 4 Easy Steps section, and the sensitivity may need adjustment, consult the Movement Sensitivity Adjustment section.

  To ensure the Sensor Pad is in full contact with the crib mattress for your Angelcare Baby Monitor, make sure there is no bedding between the mattress and the Sensor Pad. The Sensor Pad must rest on a completely flat and rigid surface. If your crib has a flexible or uneven base (metal spring base, etc.), place a piece of 6 mm (1/4") plywood to cover the full size of the crib base.
