2.2 Safety instructions for operation
Warning! If you do not obey these instructions, there
is a risk of death or injury.
● Read the warning instructions that follow before you use
the product.
● Do not use the product if you are tired, ill or under the
influence of alcohol, drugs or medicine. This has a
negative eect on your vision, alertness, coordination and
judgment.
● Do not let persons who do not have the required
experience, knowledge or training operate the product
without training or supervision.
● Do not let persons with physical, sensorial or mental
disabilities operate the product without supervision.
● Do not let children play with the product.
● Do not use the product if it is damaged.
● Do not modify the product.
● The product must only be used for its intended purpose.
● Do not use the product if parts are missing. Speak to the
retailer if the product if parts are missing.
● Maintenance and any repairs must be carried out by an
authorized service center.
● Do not repair the product. A damaged or defective
product must be repaired at an authorized service center.
● Refrigerant circuits must only be opened and worked on
by an authorized refrigeration technician.
● Do not pierce or burn the product.
● Keep the ventilation openings clean and unblocked.
● Do not use means to accelerate the defrosting process or
to clean.
● The product must be installed, operated and stored in a
room with a floor area larger than 4m.
● Do not open the product when it operates.
● Be aware that refrigerants may not contain an odour.
● Make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the
rated voltage on the type plate of the product. Speak to
an authorized electrician if you are not sure.
● The power plug must be plugged into a correctly installed
and earthed power outlet
● Never modify the power plug in any way. Allow an
authorised electrician to install an earthed power point if
the plug does not fit in the power point. The power point
must be fused for the product’s maximum power
consumption (specified on type plate).
● Do not pull the power cord to pull out the plug.
● Do not use an extension cord unless absolutely
necessary. If an extension cord is used , it must be
approved for the product.
● Disconnect the product from the power outlet when it is
not in operation.
● Disconnect the product from the power outlet before you
clean or do maintenance on the product.
● If the power cord or plug are damaged they must be
replaced by an authorized service center to ensure safe
use.
● Switch o the product immediately and pull out the plug
if the product tips over when in use. Check for any visible
damage to the product. Contact an authorized service
center if the product is damaged.
● Switch o the product and pull out the plug during
thunder storms – lightning can damage the product.
● Do not use the product with a speed controller – risk of
electric shock.
● Do not touch the metal parts on the product when
removing the air filter.
● Store the product in a room without sources of heat, such
as naked flame, LPG products, electric heaters, etc.
● Follow national regulations concerning gas.
● The product must be stored in such a way as to prevent
mechanical damage.
