12. DENTAL UNIT MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
Eliminate condensate from air ducts.
Duct 2-minute flushing
a) Manual: activate each instrument with no load
b) Automatic: activate the LONG FLUSHING cycle
Air-liquid separator canister by
CATTANI
Insert inside each suction filter a defoaming tablet.
Disposable infection control sheaths.
Apply flexible sheaths and disposable barriers on
dental chair and dental unit.
Lubricate turbine and micromotor handpieces.

W.H.E. system
(if the dental unit was left off for more
than 7 days)
Empty the W.H.E. system water circuit
20-second flushing of the instruments used on the
patient (Manual or QUICK FLUSHING)

Carry out a STANDARD flushing cycle (if any) or suck
in about half a litre of 6% diluted STER 3 PLUS solution
with each of the suction tubes used.
Sterilise the contaminated flexible protections.
Replace disposable barriers.
Clean surfaces with STER 1 PLUS.
Disinfection of spray water ducts with manual cycle (if
the S.H.S. system is fitted).
Disinfection of spray water ducts with semi-automatic
cycle (if the BIOSTER S system is fitted).
Clean filter in running water.
The content must be disposed of separately.
Clean with off-the-shelf detergents formulated for
ceramic materials.
Do not use acids or abrasive products.
Check filter and, in case suction capacity is reduced,
change it (code 97461845)
Carry out an automatic flushing cycle (if any) or suck in
about half a litre of 6% diluted STER 3 PLUS solution
with each of the suction tubes used.
Hydraulic saliva ejector.
Clean the filter of the saliva ejector terminal.
Sterilise the present flexible protections.
Eliminate all used disposable barriers.
Dental unit and chair surfaces.
Clean surfaces with STER 1 PLUS.
