Measuring Capacitance
CAUTION
!
• To avoid possible damage to the meter or to the
equipment under test, disconnect circuit power and
discharge all high-voltage capacitors before measuring
capacitance. Use the dc voltage function to confirm
that the capacitor is discharged.
The ranges of measuring capacitance are 40nF,
400nF, 4uF, 40uF, 400uF, 4mF and 40mF.
To improve the accuracy of measurements less than
1000nF, you can use the relative (Δ) mode to subtract
the residual capacitance of the leads.
To use capacitance measurement, turn the rotary
switch to resistance position, then press the function
(yellow) button to select measuring mode.
