4.2) With the rear door of the canopy open, unscrew
the M6 x 25 bolt and nut retaining the plastic
injection moulding on the inside LH rear corner of
the canopy. Retain the screw, nut and washers
for re-use.
Repeat on the RH side of the canopy.
!! THIS MUST BE DONE BEFORE THE
CANOPY IS FITTED TO THE CAR !!
4.3) Clean the front window of the canopy on the
outside.
4.4) Clean the rear window of the vehicle’s cabin.
4.5) Close the vehicle’s tailgate.
4.6) Cut the cable tie holding the wiring harness to the
window frame bracket inside the front corner of the
canopy. Using masking tape, tape the harness up
over the front LH corner of the canopy.
4.7) Close the canopy’s rear door. Using 4 people, lift
the canopy from the pallet and place it carefully
down onto the vehicle’s tub with the front rail
moulding at the front of the canopy, level to the
front rail on the vehicle’s tub.
Be careful not to dislodge the foam tape
around the inside edge of the canopy shell’s
lip perimeter.
Take care during this process to ensure the
trim edge of the canopy shell is lowered down
evenly and is not contacting the vehicle tub to
avoid paint damage.
When re-positioning the canopy lift the
canopy, to avoid dislodging the weather seal
underneath.
The gap between the canopy front pillar to the
vehicle’s cabin should be no lower than 22mm.
(22-25 mm is normal). (Measure the outer
diameter of a socket to this size, use this as a
spacer to check the gap).
Between the cabin and the
canopy, there should be
22-25mm gap from the
front pillar. It must not be
lower than 22mm
A good guide, is to look straight on in side view- front
leading edge of tub aligns to pillar at this line (Half height of
the side rail sill of the canopy)
