SECTION 1: PREPARING THE VEHICLE TUB REMOVAL OF SPORTS BARS AND CABIN
GUARDS.
1.1) Remove any sports bars (retain sports bar bolts and washers) or cabin guards fitted on the
front bed rail of the vehicle’s tub.
1.2) The sports bar will need to be removed if fitted and returned to the customer if requested
to do so.
1.3) Remove and retain all bed liner components and tie down hardware.
1.4) If your vehicle is fitted with a cabin guard frame it
must be removed. Some protectors can be
unbolted, if not, remove it in the following manner.
1.5) Slide a sheet of cardboard (from the box) or
similar between the cab and Ute body.
1.6) Apply 200mm lengths of overlapping masking
tape to the top and side of the tray, up to the
cabin guard main support leg on both sides of the
tub.
1.7) Position the steel protective grinding plates
(3199779) next to the cabin guard main support
leg on both sides of the tub.
1.8) Secure the protective steel grinding plate to the
tray body by covering it completely with masking
tape as shown.
