Home Care Use
For Distributors and Renters
When transporting the Malibu/Sovereign bathtub to
the customer:
• Make sure the Malibu/Sovereign bathtub is
properly secured during transport.
When delivering the Malibu/Sovereign bathtub make
sure that:
• The requirements and instructions prior to
installation are followed according to the Site
Preparation.
•The Malibu/Sovereign bathtub is installed by
qualified personnel according to the Assembly
and Installation Instruction.
•
Make sure:
• The thermostatic mixer has been calibrated by an
Arjo service technician according to the Assembly
and Installation Instructions.
• To read this IFU together with the receiver
(including relatives and caregivers).
• To understand parts designation, functions and
intended usage described in the IFU with help of
the real product.
• To read all the warnings to the receiver.
• The cleaning and disinfection instructions are
understood.
• To perform a functionality test according to
section Care and Preventive Maintenance on
page 43.
• The environment fulfils all the requirements
described in this IFU.
WARNING
To prevent scalding, make sure that the
thermostatic mixer has been calibrated.
Confirm that responsible organization has
established calibration routines.
Use the Malibu/Sovereign bathtub
Before using the Malibu/Sovereign bathtub in
home environment make sure that:
•
• All caregivers, including relatives, have read and
understood the instructions in this IFU.
• All carpets and rugs in the room are removed.
• All thresholds in the room are removed.
• All stairs and edges have a fence and safety gate
to prevent the transfer chair when using the with
transfer chassis from rolling down.
• There is room is big enough to use the Malibu/
Sovereign bathtub system features.
During Storage of the Malibu/Sovereign bathtub
make sure that:
• No children can access the Malibu/Sovereign
bathtub, the chair or the accessories.
• No pets can come in contact with the Malibu/
Sovereign bathtub, the chair or the accessories.
• The storage environment fulfils the requirements
specified in section Transport and Storage on
page 52.
WARNING
To avoid choking hazard do not leave children,
3 years or younger, unattended as the
equipment contains small parts.
WARNING
To avoid strangulation, make sure to never
leave children unattended near the equipment.
