Cleaning and Disinfection Instructions
Thorough cleaning and disinfection routines are
necessary to stop the bacteria growth on the
equipment.
This is particularly vital in cases where the Malibu/
Sovereign bathtub is in a shared facility.
Cleaning and disinfection as outlined below reduces
the risk of cross-contamination between patients.
Only use Arjo Branded Disinfectant
Cleansers.
If you have any questions regarding disinfecting the
Malibu/Sovereign bathtub, or wish to order
disinfectant, contact Arjo Customer Service. See
section Parts and Accessories on page 60.
Make sure to have the Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
available for the disinfectant being used.
See disinfectant IFU for instruction on contact time
and mix ratio (dilution).
Accessories for Disinfecting the
Malibu/Sovereign bathtub
(not included in Malibu/Sovereign
bathtub delivery)
• Protective glasses
• Protective gloves
• Spray bottle with disinfectant or disinfection spray
handle with disinfectant. (Not needed for a
Malibu/Sovereign bathtub with integrated
disinfection)
• Spray bottle with water / shower handle with
water
• Cloths - Wet and Dry
• Disposable towels
• Soft bristled brush
• Long handled soft bristled brush
Allowed Disinfectants
• Arjo Clean

protective glasses and gloves. If contact occurs
rinse with plenty of water. If eyes or skin
becomes irritated, contact a physician. Always
read the material safety data sheet of the
disinfectant.
