Caregiver Obligations
Caregiver obligations shall be carried out by personnel with
sufficient Malibu/Sovereign bathtub knowledge following the
instructions in this IFU.
Between Patients
Clean and disinfect:
Before every use, make sure the Malibu/Sovereign bathtub
is cleaned and disinfected according to section Cleaning
and Disinfection Instructions on page 35.
Every Week
Visually check all exposed parts:
1 Especially check parts in contact with patient or
caregiver.
2 Make sure that no cracks or sharp edges could cause
injury or become unhygienic.
Visually check mechanical attachments:
1 Check that all screws and nuts are tightened and that
there are no gaps.
2 Check safety catch and transfer chair attachment for
ease of movement and intact parts. See Fig. 1
3 Check the lifting hook attachment (with transfer chair
unhooked) by trying to rotate the hook when holding the
lifting arm fixed. See Fig. 2
4 Check for corrosion.
Visually check hoses, pipes and connections:
Visually check for leaks of any kind underneath the Malibu/
Sovereign bathtub. See Fig. 3
