17. Useful Advice (cont.)
• Respect the load limit, case will not function properly when airflow is obstructed
by overloading the case.
• Periodically keep an eye on the working temperature of the case and that of the
foodstuff displayed in it (at least twice a day, including the weekends).
• In case of damage to the case, immediately take all the measures to avoid the
overheating of the refrigerated foodstuffs.
• In case of a power outage, it is necessary to close the case with night covers.
• If the power outage is planned, it is necessary to close the case at least a couple
of hours beforehand with the night covers.
• Periodically verify the functioning of the automatic defrosting of the cabinets
(frequency, duration, air temperature, restoration of normal functioning etc.).
• Verify the proper runoff of the water resulting from defrosting including regular
cleaning of the drain strainer.
• Check for excessive or unusual condensation. If this occurs, alert the
refrigeration technician immediately.
• Carry out all the preventative maintenance operations with absolute regularity.
• IN CASE OF GAS LEAK OR FIRE: DO NOT USE WATER TO PUT OUT THE
FLAMES BUT ONLY DRY CHEMICAL EXTINGUISHERS.
