4.3 Controls
The VT-70 High Output machines have hydraulic joystick controls. The joysticks
are used to control machine speed and direction as well as lift arm and bucket
functions.
4.3.1 Lift Arm Control
The lift arm joystick is used to control the lift arms, bucket, and to engage the
float function. The illustration above shows the relationship between joystick
movement and resulting lift arm action.
Note: To activate the float function, move the joystick fully forward in a quick
motion. The joystick will then be held in detent by the magnet attached to the
joystick base. Pull back quickly to disengage the float function.
4.3.2 Drive Control
The drive joystick controls the direction and speed of the machine. The illustration
above shows the relationship between joystick movement and resulting machine
motion.
